Diabetes Screening and Consultation Camp

Lions Club of Darjeeling organized a Diabetes Screening and Consultation Camp on Sunday,17th November 2019 from 10:00 a.m to 1:00 p.m under One Multiple One Activity at the Hawa Ghar, Chowrasta. Over 100 persons went in for”random sugar tests”.Those diagnosed with having high blood sugar levels were given consultation and group counselling by Dr.Bikas Dewan Consultant Doctor for the programme. They were further given”eye check ups”by Dr Jamyang Gyatso Consultant Opthalmologist.The random sugar tests were conducted by staff of the Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital run Eye Care Center,Ghoom. Pamphlets on Diabetes-Symptoms, Complications and Treatment were distributed among the patients and the public at large.
