The Lions Club of Siliguri, Shatabdi conducted an Afforestration Programme today, 9.12.2017 at Kholachand Fapri Primary School for a ‘Green and Clean ‘ environment. The President and Secretary of the club — Lion Aruna Ruchal and Lion Tamanna Diyali, respectively spoke about the importance of planting trees in the present world which is threatened by the hazards of global warming and pollution. Coconut trees–2, beetul nut–20, AricaPalm–10, Chickoo fruit–2, guava–2, salvia–50 and other plants too were planted in the school premises. The school garden was cleaned by the members following the Swaccha Bharat Abhiyan spirit.Biscuits were distributed to the students of the school. (Thank you—Secretary)??
